Huron bay Lodge is located on 1,400 acres of diverse Northern Boreal forest habitat.  Our aspen clear cuts, fields, hardwood thickets, and dense stands of hemlock / pine / cedar provide ideal habitat for elk, stag, and whitetail, which grow huge in this land surrounded by Lake Superior.

This aerial view of Huron Bay Lodge shows the southern third of the preserve, the lodge area and beautiful Huron Bay.  The bay provides a stabilizing influence on the climate, which tends to be milder at Huron bay Lodge than the surrounding mainland.

Our Bulls grow big because they eat well. With 120 acres of fields planted in high protein feed or natural grasses, there is always a mixed bag of nourishing food available year round.  Some animals stick to the heavy timber during the day, emerging to the fields to feed in the evening.

Big Bulls frequent the ideal habitat of clear cuts, slash and field edges that is provided at Huron Bay Lodge.  Lots to eat, good cover to bed down and hide.  Yes, you must hunt your animal at Huron Bay Lodge.

November storms on Lake Superior are legendary, awesome, and inspiring.  You can feel the big lake's power a quarter of a mile inland at the lodge when a big one hits.  Once you experience a November storm, you will never forget it.

Vast stands of mature hardwoods mixed with spruce, hemlock, cedar and white pine provide ideal thermal cover and lots of places for our big bulls and bucks to hide.  the 1,400-acre preserve offers any level of challenge a hunter could want.  You tell us how you want to hunt and we'll see to it that we put you on a trophy of a lifetime - at Huron Bay Lodge.

We have created the ideal elk / stag / whitetail habitat at Huron Bay Lodge.  This clear-cut, slash area interspersed with native grasses holds elk, even at midday.
